Sir Morien and the Black presence in Medieval Europe (or the real Black Knight)

I thought about writing this in celebration of Black History Month after watching the BBC’s “Merlin” series. In the series they cast quite a few Black actors and even cast actress Angel Coulby as Queen Guinevere. This is how Im usually motivated to do my research. Being an autodidactic learner I either see or read something interesting and I go digging to see if I can find an example of it in art, literature or history. I love digging up little known and obscure facts about Black history through out the world so delving into the legend of Sir Morien was a pleasure

We’ve all heard of the “black Knight” of the King Arthur legend but there literally was a “Black” knight in King Arthur’s court. His name was Sir Morien & his tale is recorded in a 13th Century Dutch Manuscript. This tale more than likely existed in oral tradition & older text that no longer survive. There were actually quite a few people of African decent in medieval & ancient Europe. Sir Morien like King Arthur more than likely is a mythical figure based on an amalgamation of historic figures. Sir Morien more than likely was based on the leader of the Roman Theban Legion St. Maurice who himself has elements of legend attached to him.

St. Maurice and Pope (probably Nicholas V)

Sir Morien is described in the text as such:

“He was all black, even as I tell ye: his head, his body, and his hands were all black, saving only his teeth. His shield and his armour were even those of a Moor, and black as a raven…

Had they not heard him call upon God no man had dared face him, deeming that he was the devil or one of his fellows out of hell, for that his steed was so great, and he was taller even than Sir Lancelot, and black withal, as I said afore…

When the Moor heard these words he laughed with heart and mouth (his teeth were white as chalk, otherwise was he altogether black)…”

For a full read I recommend this sight which has the full tale

Another Black  Character in the Arthurian legends is Feirerfiz

Feirefiz is referred to as being a Saracen & his mother is the Moorish Queen Belcane (or Belacane) a Black woman & his father the fictional French King Gahmuret a White man

(for a synopsis of the tale see Percival)

Many early Medieval Europeans may not have understood what children of bi-racial relationships would look like so they discribed Feirefiz as having patchy black & white skin Some also theorize the writers may have been describing a Black person with vitiligo.

“Feirefiz is a character in Wolfram von Eschenbach’s Arthurian poem Parzival. He is the half-brother of Parzival, the story’s hero. He is the child of their father Gahmuret’s first marriage to the Moorish queen Belacane (Italian: “lovely meat”), and equals his brother in knightly ability. Because his father was white and his mother black, Feirefiz’s skin consists of black and white patches. His appearance is compared to that of a magpie or a parchment with writing on it, though he is considered very handsome. There exists a skin disease, Vitiligo, which produces such underpigmented patches across the body.”

A Black person in Medieval Europe may seem like an anachronism but Black Africans were more widely known to the North Western European than our mainstream history would have us believe. The fact you have such tales this early in North Western European  history points to the presence of Black people in Western Europe during the medieval period.

The two above examples of medieval art are of Black African knights and noble men,one apparently of a king being crowned.

Its plausible that Black Africans absorbed the North Western feudal culture easily being that in Africa you had a tradition of horseman ship and mounted armored warriors also dating back to West Africa’s  Medieval period

Begharmi Lancers

Knights of the Savanna

Men dressed in traditional clothes ride horses during Durbar festival in Kano

As we see from the above pictures this armored horse riding tradition is still alive today

Archeology also proves Black Africans were present in Europe during the earliest parts of the Medieval period. The remains of a 4th century Black woman were found in Brittan.

Blacks obviously migrated into Southern and North Western Europe throughout history as another ancient skeleton dating circa 3 AD the “Beachy Head Lady” pictured above confirms. Like the remains discovered in York these remains discovered in the    South East England county of East Sussex are of a Sub Saharan female.

Those of use who are familiar with archeology and genetic research understand it was Black Africans who ventured out of Africa reaching Europe and Asia around 60k to 40k years ago as this reconstructed bust tells us.

This skull reconstruction is of the 1st homo sapiens sapiens in Europe dating to about 35k years ago.

As for Black Africans in Europe during the upper Paleolithic I recommend this documentary

So from these examples we see the Black African has long been in Europe prior to the Arab or Trans Atlantic slave trades. There are many more examples of artistic depictions of medieval Black Noble and common folk through out Europe. The below images are from the Medieval period ie: 4th century to 14th century(To the best of my knowledge). I am happy to say there are so many of these pieces of art representing peoples of Black African ancestry in Europe I grew tired of sorting through them & separating the many Renaissance art pieces and those that were made prior to the 15th century. I can only imagine how many more remain hidden or undiscovered.

The Exodus Cipher: A Brief Look at the Afro-American experience through a Biblical lens

Book Of Nahum

Chp 3 v 9 to 11

Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.

Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.

Early Assyrian depiction of Hebrew slaves in Babylon

The 1st time I read this scripture I immediately was reminded of the enslavement of Africa’s peoples & how her great kingdoms where laid low. There are some Blacks who beleive we literaly are the true Hebrew peoples. I do not necessarily subscribe to this belief in the literal sence but I do beleive African Americans are the true children of Isreal on a spiritual and symbolic level. Perhaps both of these might be true because there are genetic links between many Jews and Black Africans.

As recent DNA studies point out…..

“A diverse array of Jewish populations can date their Sub-Saharan African ancestry back roughly 72 generations,”

“The older-mixture dates among African and Jewish populations are consistent with events in biblical times, such as the Jewish diaspora that occurred in 8th to 6th century BC.”

(see-   )

“But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and just as the LORD had predicted to Moses, Pharaoh refused to listen.”

-Exodus Chp9 v12

I see the exposing of & current increase of police murder & White racist anger as God hardning this nation “Pharoahs” heart against Afro Americans & forcing Black people into an extreme action mode.

African Americans are in action mode and look to go into overdrive in the fight against oppression.

Afro-Americans have suffered opression beyond Biblical levels. I say beyond because the Hebrews were enslaved but Egypt & Babylon never stripped the Hebrew people of their language & history nor whipped them saying “your name is Amon Ptah not Yossef”

Besides this our stories parallel on such a level it amazes me at times. When my mother 1st read the bible to me she also would read to me about Black heroes like Harriet Tubman & I easily felt that the bible was speaking about my peoples plight. Harriet following the north star to freedom was like the three wise men following the eastern star to Christ. I interpret the bible this way often & Ive been thinking about Exodus quite a bit lately. When your in a country that has systemically oppressed you & continues to kill your people with impunity you tend to have taughts like

“I wonder how cold winters are in Canada?”

” how hot does it really get in Africa?”

Many of our modern day prophets have advocated our leaving out of America & repatriating to Africa.

Ive always believed in a mental &  “cultural” repatriation to Africa meaning we must relearn our history & roots of all things African & throughout our diaspora & fix our dysfunctional culture. Peraphs we may need to do both but just as the old generation poisened by the slavery in Egypt died off during those 40 years in the wilderness so I believe relearning our culture & history is a necessary 1st step to rid our selves of self destructive behavior & uncle tomism before returning to our mother land.

I’d also like to also point out that the Hebrew people didn’t just up & leave Egypt broke. They grabbed gold, food and anything else they needed before leaving

Kemit Nüt(Egypt)

“The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.”

“The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!”

Exodus Chp 12 v35 to 36

You could call this a form of Reparations the Egyptians paid the Hebrews for the centuries of enslavement they endured. African Americans are asking for nothing more from America yet so called White Christians and many White Jews scoff at the idea of recompense for Blacks that have endured the most volitile form of servitude and oppression ever implemented.

So scripture tells us what we need to do before & towards our Exodus,be it mental, physical or both. Relearn who we are, become that & stack the money we will need to rise to our rightful position in the world & the current treatment we’ve received from this system is pushing us towards this just as Pharoahs armies pushed Moses to split and cross the Red Sea towards the promise land

4th of July-my perspective as an Afro-American(or fuck that I aint popping no fire crackers for the cracker)

Once again its the 4th of July and millions of Americans, Black, White and everything else in between will be firing up grills roasting chicken, cow and pig meat. I have fond memories of celebrating past 4th of the July’s. I even fondly remember the times when I had to walk through the hood in my Cub Scout uniform and cats would throw fire crackers towards me as I made my way through the Virgos set and Fulton street areas to my Den meeting. (Yeah that’s life living in the ghetto. In order to get to a positive character building activity I had to walk through three blocks of gangsters and drug dealers-but that’s another story.)

I am proud to be an American. Even prouder to be an “AFRICAN” – American (*coff *coff #RayvenSimone) So like many conscious Afro-Americans I am conflicted about celebrating a holiday of a country that has actively enslaved then socio-economically oppressed my people for the past 250 plus yrs of its existence. Yes I’m fully aware of the righteous Whites who have attempted to help right the wrongs and correct the mistakes made during this countries history and this tempers my anger. I sincerely appreciate the fact that we have Anglo-Americans who at the very least try to practice tolerance and understand the sorrow and anger felt by Black America. Despite this we still have systemic racism in this country and it continues to hamstring Black people to the point we self perpetuate our own destruction.

Over the years I’ve used the fact my grand father fought Nazis in World War II, my father served in the U.S Navy, my brother in the U.S Army and my cousin fought in the 1st Iraqi war as reasons to celebrate the 4th of July but now more and more these feel like excuses to me.  In these days and times I find my self even more conflicted by the 4th of July because the current state of popular American bigotry throws the past disrespects back in our face. Every time a court rules in favor of a cop that blatantly murdered an unarmed human it grows harder for me to pledge and salute that flag. When I see rabidly angry White people yelling ” Go back to Africa!! ” as if  they’ve forgotten  not only did they bring us here unwillingly but seem oblivious to the fact they themselves are immigrants, it grows harder to enjoy this holiday called the 4th of July. When I see a blatantly proactive racist so popular he could possibly become our next president it grows harder for me to think of this country as a place I can feel secure in and call home. I mean who would so eagerly take pride in a country that does these things to its people?

The consistent oppression and mistreatment of Blacks at the hands of White America has fueled this hatred and resentment.

Anger over spilling

The Under Educated, Politically Manipulated,Angry White Man- Trump’s bread and butter

I don’t suffer from any form of #Stockholm’s syndrome so I cant implement the “#Uncle Tom” mentality as a defense mechanism (*coff *coff #BenCarson, *coff  #Whoopi *gag #StaceyDash ) so I soberly deal with the painful reality of this countries racist culture and system. It is as if I’m in a dysfunctional toxic relation ship were I’m forced to live and stay with a partner that periodically insults and beats me. Like most victims of domestic abuse I find myself in a love hate relationship with this partner. I’m of course using domestic abuse as a metaphor and like most people trapped in an abusive relationship simply leaving or “Going back to Africa” is not a financial or physical possibility and in our case apparently there is no police man to call for help. So until our “#Moses” comes we must soldier on and do our best to make America a better place for all people to live in(because as we know other ethnic and culture groups have greatly benefited from the rights Blacks have fought & fight for). Today I’m forced to look at the 4th of July the same way I do  Christmas. Even though I’m not a traditional Christian thus know Jesus was not born on December 25th I celebrate the winters solstice as a holiday for family and friends to get together and enjoy each others company. Its some what the same for the 4th of July at this point for me. So today I’m going out to hunt down some barbeque like millions of other Americans and sit and reflect on the state of American culture and politics this 4th of July.

The Afro/Euro-Centric Ancient Egypt Debate ( The Hugh Cipher guide to accurate world history pt 2-A precise and logical argument)

Ancient Egyptians were aware of the differences between the peoples that surrounded them. Here we see a Libyan and Hysko

Ancient Egyptians were aware of the differences between the people’s that surrounded them. Here we see a Libyan and Hysko “white skinned” and a Nubian and an Egyptian. Even in this reconstruction the Egyptian and Nubian look like a dark and brown skinned Afro American type.

I’ve intended to write about this subject for ages. One reason I haven’t as of yet is because I wished to do so as concisely as possible but also  attempt to proactively address any possible arguments.

-Far easier said than done

This is also a response to the numerous Euro centric and Arab centric deniers of Egypt’s Black African roots.  The majority of Egypt’s population has looked like Arab/Semitic peoples for so long that it is easy to simply imagine them as having looked this way for the past 5k to 6k years. Most modern Egyptians are descendants of Arab invaders who conquered what was left of a dying Egyptian civilization in around 700 A.D.

I am of course a proponent of the Black African origins of Egypt but I well concede that the argument isn’t quite as black and white as it seems -pun intended.

Egypt in many ways was like todays America. A country with many immigrants but where America has a majority of Caucasian people Egypt for most of its history as a true Egyptian culture had a majority of Africoid people.

I recognize that Egypt having had lasted for 4k years makes it hard for the average person to wrap their head around the concept that in such a long period of time populations change. There is a country called Kazakhstan where many of the modern day inhabitants look Mongoloid although the ancient Scythians who occupied that area in the B.C. period  resembled Keltic tribes people. Todays inhabitants of Kazakhstan are largely inpart descendants of the medieval Mongol conquerors.

DNA test on modern Kazakhstani peoples show that common Eurasian y-dna haplogroups A,B,C,D,F,G,H and M are present & that maternal lineages have connections to mongoloid Amerindian haplogroups. We see here in the Kazakhstani a people who look Mongoloid & Caucasoid just as their dna illustrates. The ancient Scythian blood line still is an undercurrent but the more recent Mongoloid amalgamation is phenotypically dominate in a high percentage of the population . In many ways they mirror ancient Egypts phenotypical transfer from an Africoid peoples to a blended Eurasian type

Kazakhstan is located in north central Eurasia at a cross roads between Europe and Asia proper.

America is only 250 or so years old and population studies show that America has become more “browner” in just this short time.

Imagine America in 4000 years

Imagine America in 4000 years

When looking at contemporary descriptions of Egyptians and current dna analysis, this process of amalgamation and displacement clearly took place in Egypt making it more “Semitic” or say Eurasian

Archeological evidence shows that Egypt very early on in its history took on Eurasian elements due to migration and later invasion and conquest.

Migration and Invasion Map of ancient Egypt during the time of Rameses III

Egypt was conquered by invaders from outside of Africa several times

The 1st of these were the Hyskos who invaded in 1720-1710 BCE

and ruled part of Egypt from 1650 bc to 1550 bc

1400 years later Today Egypt is the largest Arab country in the world

In December 639 ‘Amr ibn al-‘As left for Egypt with a force of 4,000 troops. Most of the soldiers belonged to the Arab tribe of ‘Ak, although Al-Kindi mentions that one third of the soldiers belonged to the Arab tribe of Ghafik.

The fall of the Byzantine Fortress of Babylon in 641 CE allowed invading Arab armies to move beyond the Lower Nile region of Egypt

*The fall of the Byzantine Fortress of Babylon in 641 CE allowed invading Arab armies to move beyond the Lower Nile region of Egypt

So any slightly intelligent critical thinker would deduce all of these Eurasian invaders and migrants left their dna and physical mark on the Egyptian population.

So my argument is this

Egypt began as a Black African civilization that over it’s 4000 year history took on Eurasian elements and eventually amalgamated and or displaced the original Black African population

This is why when any one who honestly looks at Egyptian art and artifacts must admit they see a variety of physical traits or phenotypes that range from Black African to Eurasian and all combinations thereof in-between

So again my argument is not that ALL ancient Egyptians were Black Africans rather that the original founders were Black Africans and much of the population primarily remained so until late in Egyptian history.

The latest dna test that actually tested ancient Egyptian mummies show the Amarna royal mummies to have had a far higher % of genetic links to “Black Africa” than peoples of Eurasia or the Levant

To read the entire DNA Tribes Rameses III dna study click here to download the pdf –

This is the latest DNA evidence-peer reviewed and academically sound-Not a hoax such as the iGenea test that didn’t even bother to actually test Egyptian mummies.

iGenea King Tut DNA Hoax

iGenea blatantly published doctored DNA results that claim Tutankhamun belongs to the haplogroup R1b1a2, which more than 50% of all men in Western Europe belong to.

When looking at pre dynastic evidence we see that a Black advanced culture that lived in the area of the Libyan Sahara when the Sahara was fertile practiced artificial mummification. This was 1000 years or so before the earliest evidence of artificial  mummification is known to have taken place in Egypt

The mummy was originally discovered in the 1950’s but was relegated to storage until a recent documentary. As many researchers for true African history know Europeans have long denied or simply hidden discoveries like this.

When comparing predynastic art and artifacts with rock painting & carvings in the Sahara you can see what possibly will evolve into the Kemetic or say Egyptian art style.

In 2008   National Geographic/S. O. Y. Keita stated:

“…The major features of cultural and political development that led to dynastic Egypt originated in southern Egypt during what is called the predynastic period. Some evidence suggests that predynastic Egyptian and early Nubian cultures had ties to the early Saharan cultures and shared a Saharo-Nilotic heritage. Perhaps the earliest predynastic culture, the Badarian-Tasian* (4400 B.C. or earlier, to 4000 B.C.), had the clearest ties to Saharan cultures in the desert west of Nubia. The subsequent development, known as Naqada culture (3900 to around 3050 B.C.) by numerous scholars, had three phases and led directly to the 1st dynasty in southern Egypt without a break or evidence of foreign domination. It had three major centers in Upper Egypt, the small kingdoms of Naqada, Hierakonpolis, and Abydos, which came to be a much revered place in Egypt. The cemetery grounds of Abydos contain the largest tomb of a predynastic ruler, along with the burials of all the kings of the 1st dynasty. Naqada culture expanded north in its later phases, culturally incorporating northern Egypt before the 1st dynasty. There is also evidence at some sites—including Hierakonpolis, where the famous Narmer Palette was found—for interactions with Nubian societies, specifically one called the A-Group, whose kings shared some insignia with Egypt. By the time the 1st dynasty began, Egypt and Nubia were rivals; Egypt defeated the A-Group state and incorporated its territory, which became a part of the first province of Upper Egypt.”

The earliest evidence of a Monarchy anywhere in the world is found in Nubia. This dates to several generations prior to any evidence in predynastic Egypt or Sumer

This is a clip from an article from the New York times dating from the 1970’s. Something like this should have long been in text books but Eurocentric bias & indifference shadows discoveries like this.

Eurocentrics like to stereo type Black peoples into one physical or phenotype but the truth is that Black Africans are thee most genetically diverse thus thee most pheno-typically diverse people in the world.

kiya_2 imagesCRRV38G3

Euro-centrics routinely present Egypt as being more “Caucasoid” The computer reconstruction of King Tut is but one example.

This is the European-ized computer reconstruction of Tut

This is the 2005 European-ized computer reconstruction of Tut

This is the more African, more accurate computer reconstruction made of King Tut

This is the earlier 2002 more African, more accurate computer reconstruction made of King Tut

The earlier “African” reconstruction can be seen at London England’s Science Museum’s web site-

It is said the famous (or infamous depending whats your take) Zahi Hawass balked at the earlier reconstruction & currently the Eurocentric reconstruction of Tut is the most widely known & is the easiest to access via web searches. The older reconstruction appears to be buried. This is the usual unintentional & in many cases fully intentional hiding of non biased research dealing with Africa.

You can compare both reconstructions to the Tutankhamen gold mask and judge which fits the mask’s rendition of Tut better. Also remember Tutankhamen was a member of the Amarna royal family thus genetically has been proven to be far more African than Eurasian

The falsification has muddled the truth horribly

As an Afro American I easily see the phenotypes of both Caucasian and African types in Egyptian art. We African Americans are also a highly mixed people averaging 24 to 30% European dna and 8 to 10% American Indian (mongoloid) dna

Thus we have an unique eye for Black and White peoples of all types and mixtures. Also Europeans tend to refer to even a bi racial person as Black but if the same phenotype is seen in ancient art its declared Eurasian. This double standard is absurd.

An Amarna Princes looking like and wearing a hairstyle many African women do today

( If Beyoncé lived during pharaonic times she would be declared Eurasian by Euro centrics.)

Today Black women still wear weaves and braided wigs-This type of wig and hairstyle is not a part of the long straight haired Eurasian culture

In ending the latest modern DNA test confirm the African origins of Egypt

The contemporary writings of Herodotus, Diodorus and more confirm the Blackness the African ness of ancient Egypt

I can only hope Eurocentric’s will eventually take their blinders off and recognize facts

I will say the same for extreme Afro centrics who totally deny any Eurasian contribution to ancient Egypt.

I consider my self “world” centric because only by looking at history from all possible angles can you ascertain truth and truth speaks for itself

I push for truth and greater knowledge and my primary goal is for my fellow African people to see the truth without being mislead by European racist dogma.

I claim the Kemti-Nubian cultural legacy the same way a man from England might claim the Greco-Roman cultural legacy.

A secondary goal of mine is for all people to recognize and acknowledge the greatness of the people from who all of humanity springs from. I’d like to point out most people who argue against a Black African genesis of Egypt do not believe in the out of Africa origins of mankind

Why are conservatives so angry about Welfare?

Welfare is a hot button issue. Id like to try to explain how I look at the welfare system and why I see it a bit differently than others. I also will touch on why I think so many conservatives have such a negative attitude towards it.

I will begin by stating one of the perhaps more radical views I have on Welfare recipients. It is simply this – If a person is happy living off the tuna can existence Welfare and Food stamps provide why would I be upset at them for being slackers? Its not like they live on the same level of existence I do on my meager 51k a year income? In cities that dole out the higher amounts of aid recipients get about $400.00 bucks a month plus about 180 in food stamps. If giving a family food stamps stops them or their kids from committing crime I think it would be all the better.. Now this is just one way I look at the issue of welfare but I think it is pertinent. Especially in the face of so many angry Americans who act as if that $400.00 dollar a month aid comes directly out of their personal accounts. As if they each pay $400.00 bucks a month to support a slacker not the reality that Welfare to families cost tax payers more like .013 cent on the tax dollar. .013 cent. Is this what all these people are so angry about? Well sadly we know this is not the full case. Unfortunately attitudes towards race have been manipulated so even though Whites receive 69% of available federal aid its an image of a fat Black lady with screaming rug rats as your stereotypical welfare queen.

I will admit I believe Welfare has stagnated many peoples and I of course would like to again point out the higher % of those stagnated people are Anglo Americans.

Personally id like to see long term job works programs tied into welfare & by long term I mean job works plans that provide employment for 5 to 10 years. There’s enough dirty streets & cracked roads to demand attention for this long. Also we don’t need welfare to work programs that pays the recipient minimum wage or less & causes more hardships on a single parent than the job benefits can offset(such as finding & paying for childcare & transportation cost)

Another numbers trick is that when looking at the Federal Budget it appears that Welfare cost the tax payers only a few billion dollars less than our defense budget(which we are in so in need of increasing due to terrorist and rouge nations we could scrape the turf with using tech from the 1970‘s) The truth Welfare to families cost the government about 275 million. A pittance compared to our defense budget.

Projected Federal Budget showing total Welfare budget to be less than half of the known Defense budget. When adjusted for what actual goes to families Welfare is less than 5% of the total "known" military budget

Projected Federal Budget showing total Welfare budget to be less than half of the known Defense budget. When adjusted for what actual goes to families Welfare is less than 5% of the total “known” military budget

Not only Whites but many Blacks and other minorities have been bamboozled into thinking Welfare recipients are a bunch of loafers and that they are some sort of crucial drain on our economy. Instead of having the moral empathy to support our fellow Americans in need we’ve turned them into unwanted scapegoats.

I would like to leave you the reader with a list of 5 common Myths about people on Welfare courtesy of Nichole Jaworski, CBS Charlotte News

Myths About Welfare Recipients

5. People who receive welfare are lazy and do not want to work.

Fact: The majority of people who are on welfare are able-bodied and want to work, however they can not find stable employment. Still, many work irregular, low-wage jobs in between receiving welfare.

4. Welfare recipients “milk the system” and fraudulently obtain benefits.

Fact: “The Welfare Queen” was a term first used by President Reagan. Reagan talked about how a Chicago woman abused the system and had 80 different identities and was receiving around $150K in benefits each year. The image portrayed was that of a black woman. Here’s an interesting fact about “The Welfare Queen,” … there is no proof that she ever existed. It is believed that Reagan either falsified the entire story to gain support for his belief that welfare benefits should be reduced, or that there was some truth to the story, however Reagan drastically exaggerated the level of welfare abuse.

3. Most woman on welfare continue to have babies so that they can maximize the amount of benefits that they receive.

Fact: The average family on welfare has 2.8 children. Furthermore, only one out of every 10 mothers on welfare has more than 3 children.

2. A lot of welfare recipients are drug addicts and alcoholics and they stay poor as a result of their addictions.

Fact: Most often, poverty in itself is not caused by addiction, but rather an addiction is the result of falling into poverty. Furthermore, people of all socioeconomic backgrounds suffer from addictions.

1. Most of the people on welfare are African-Americans.

Fact: Think again! The margin between Caucasians and African-Americans who are on welfare is extremely narrow — 38.8 percent of Caucasians, and 39.8 percent of African-Americans are on welfare.

Mede Midas

To understand true history one must 1st place things into their proper context. Not only have Afro Americans and colonized Africans  been taught a warped ,biased, white washed Eurocentric  world view but so have Europeans and most other ethnic groups.

Today much of ancient, medieval and renaissance Europe has been romanticized and much of ancient, medieval Africa has been vilified. Europeans have been taught they have ruled or been in a dominant position since recorded history. Only truthful European historians speak to the truth that Europe rose from a very primitive and barbaric state to the level of dominance they posses today.

Many White supremacist like to believe genetics or some sort of inherent superiority has played a part in this. This is of course a fallicy. Primarily because European genetic superiority doesn’t exist. This plus the fact as you will see through out this study guide caprice, serendipity ie: lady luck has played a major part in Europe’s rise. Also Europe’s location in today’s climatic era is prime for benefiting from all three civilizations that surround it ie: Africa, Asia and Asia Minor (middle east).

I will do my best to keep this study guide as simple as possible because I wish the lay person to be able to digest its content. I will begin first with two video documentaries that will lay the ground work and tone for this study guide. The first part of the study guide is a segment of  the BBC documentary “The Incredible Human Journey”.

This segment deals with the 1st Europeans and where they came from. The original man ,homo sapiens sapines ie: modern human came out of Africa and eventually colonized the world. I begin the study guide with this segment because many don’t realize in fact the 1st Europeans where from Africa thus looked very African

Forensic reconstruction of the 1st European

Forensic Anthropologist reconstruction from 35k year old skull  of the 1st Europeans

This documentary is an excellent study of this fact and after watching this segment I recommend watching the whole documentary.

The next video with in the study guide is Jared  Diamond’s

“Gun Steel and Germs”

This documentary breaks down why humans in many areas of the world have remained at so called primitive or tribal levels of  culture and civilization. This documentary does an excellent job of explaining the fact that to create or build a complex or high civilization agriculture is essential. It explains this and the fact that domesticated crops and animals are native to only one area of the world which is the Levant(middle east, fertile crescent) and coincidentally this is where you see high civilization springing up 1st around and near Asia Minor (the Levant ). I am a subscriber to Kemit Nut(Egypt) having all of the elements that constitute high civilization 1st (ie: agriculture, government, architecture and writing) not Sumer which is what most historians subscribe to.

seem to have been founded by advanced hunter gatherers who being located in Asia Minor(near modern day Turkey) had so many wild fruit and grain plants they so far are one exception to agriculture predating the building of a complex society

To clarify the way the terms Eurocentric,Afrocentric,Arab & Sino/Asiacentric within this study guide are used are as labels for anthropological lenses. These lenses or view points can simply be a way of looking at a subject or it can mean they are being used in a prejudicial & or racist sence.
For example being Afrocentric can simply mean looking at history or any subject from an African centered view point such as looking at the colonial age from the view point of African nations & tribes that were conquered or invaded instead of from the colonizer’s point of reference (ie:the way we all were taught in Jr.High & High school)
Racist Eurocentric view point on the other hand looks at Egypt as having no connection to Black Africa & any Blacks depicted in artifacts where ever slaves or Nubians & looks at Nubia as a lesser copy of Egypt when in reality there is much evidence that Nubia is older than Egypt. The written evidence (such as from Herodotus’s retelling of Ethiopia /Nubia’s assertion that Egypt began as a Nubian colony)has been ignored for centuries & even recent archeological evidence has been hidden

With in this study guide I will emphasize using critical thinking is a  must. Even with the new truths European academics put forth the old ugly head of Eurocentric bias still rears its self from time to time and all researchers for the truth should be aware of this. This is the same for biased Afro Centric sources. Bias cannot be allowed to pollute our perception of the truth and we all being human must constantly guard against this even with in our own research.

Critical Thinking Guide:

1.)    Look out for and discern Euro, Asian or Afro centric bias as you study. This may prove difilcult at first & a quick cheat sheet for this is:

A.) Most Eurocentric histories will claim African/Black civilizations & cultures are White or some obscure non Black African peoples & will make it a point to mention this as if  a fact when there is no aparent need to mention race at all. Euro centric historians do this and or toatally ignore African elements in history.

B.) One marker  Asian or “Monglo-centric” history is the fact countries like China teach a multi regional genisis of modern man rather than the thouroughly proven Out of Africa theory of human genisis

C.) Some Afro centric historians speak on theory or hypothesis as fact with out enough supporting data. Some Afro centric historians return the favor to Eurocentric historians and claim each and every ancient civilizations were Black.

2.)    Realize the fact that Africans haved played a far larger part with in the origins of humanity, civilization and culture than previously believed but many of a Eurocentric mind set will vehemently contest many of these findings.

A brief explanation of systemic racism, how it effects Blacks and why most Whites & others doubt its extremeness & it existence (a response to a blog about the The King Alfred plan)

I wrote this as a reply to a blog by a White person seemingly wishing to take the blame of historical racism off his shoulders & convey that “all” poor people would be equally “fucked” by a martial law plan like King Alfred or REX 84. Perhaps the King Alfred Plan’s origins lay in a semi fictional book named “The Man Who Screamed I Am!” Written by John A. Williams in 1967 but the REX 84 plan is very real & lays out a plan to place 21 Million African Americans into concentration camps in the event of Black Militants taking violent country wide action. More than a little frightening if your a regular working class Afro American or any Black person.

Most Whites dont understand racism & most Blacks are puzzled as how to deal with it effectively.  whiteguyconfusedPicsArt_1394507650971

I wrote this reply( that the blogger unfortunately seems has not allowed to be posted to his site) in an attempt to briefly describe why racism effects Blacks & Whites differntly & why Whites & other ethnic groups dont think it exist anymore or doubt how systemic it is.

I wrote:

I  thank you for your sentiment & I agree we are all affected by classim in today’s America & world. The thing is Blacks are affected by this and racism. I’ll use a brainy comparison to describe how racism effects Blacks but so many other ethnic groups & races are not effected thus doubt & or feel racism no longer exists. I hope also to explain why many Blacks are overly sensitive to issues of race & racism. Racism is like the Higgs field in physics. The Higgs Bozon is the particle/force carrier that gives matter mass. All matter is affected by the Higgs field but some much more so than others. Some pass through the Higgs field with little or no reaction but others are extremly affected by it. Racism has become part of the American cultural fabric & those not affected by it usually don’t acknowledge it. Like the Higgs field much of systemic racism is subtle nigh invisible & only those who feel its effects or those who know what to look for recognize its presence. You can also say racism is like a dog whistle. If you dont see or know a dog whistle is being blown & see a dog going nuts you just assume the dog is crazy. It is true many Blacks are uber sensitive to issues of race. They are angry & parinoid also. Some say idiotic & hurtful things out of rage. I have many White friends & associates so when a racist insults me with some pejorative term I cantlor choose not to) respond in kind due to the fact id be an insensitive asshole to my friends & I know ive hated it when White friends have said racist things out of rage & fustration in my presence so I practice tolerance & glady I know enough scientific facts & history I can respond to racism with some historical or scientific fact that usually pisses off dim witted racist alot more. I agree we all are fucked if martial law is inacted but as a Black person the fact that there is a “REX-84” plan im friggin more frightened & parinoid.
